Our story

Lovers of travel, exploring cultures and transmitting what we are passionate about, our story begins with discovering handcrafted textile techniques to be able to apply to our designs and bring them closer to you.

We are

We are a brand created by women who love what they do. Our curiosity, vitality and empathy have led us to connect with different people, exceptional stories and magical places.

NOU MOSCADA is synonymous of travel, passion, cultures and tradition. Character, authenticity and origin. Stories that are told through unique pieces, small details, unique products.

We do

We create and design one by one our prints, shapes and patterns of our designs to turn our products into unique and special pieces.

We work surrounded by the experience of those who know best the original skills. Artisan workshops of the world that are an oasis of inspiration, knowledge and heritage of textile techniques, always respecting the essence of each place in the world.

We believe that “in the imperfection is where the beauty is”. And that’s for you wont find two equal NOU MOSCADA.

We build

Ethical work, responsible consumption and small gestures full of attitude are essential to revolutionize what we want to change. The most important thing are not words, but the acts that define our way of being, doing and believing.

We are a women’s brand for women. Women who support each other, who take care of themselves. Powerful women eager to drive change.

Produce and consume from the experience, effect and humility of the hand cfraft in its origin. That’s what NOU MOSCADA is all about.

In a small workshop in Lluçanès, Carme and Dolors make our tubular scarves. We began to make our first pieces with them.

KNIT WORKSHOP

Igualada is a city with a long textile tradition. We started working with Asun and Joan from the beginning of our project. They are responsible for knitting our knitted pieces into their knitting machines.

ASSOCIACIÓ CASAL CLARET

The tubular scarves are made by the women who work in the “Cosidor Pas a Pas” project of the Casal Claret Association, in Vic. An initiative that accompanies these women in their job placement processes.

Be part of the change

Produce and consume more consciously is in our hands, and we believe it is essential to create a better world. A world for those who work from the heart, with truth. And of course, for those who value it.

How to measure yourself?

To use our size chart you must obtain the measurements of your body and then locate them to the size chart.

Use a soft tape measure to surround your body at the three main points; chest, waist and hip.

BUST
Measure the chest with a bra that you usually wear.

WAIST

The waist is approximately the height of your navel, the narrowest part of your natural waist.

HIP
When you measure the hip do it at the widest part.

To measure yourself it is important to do it with underwear to achieve more realistic measurements.

If you have doubts between one size or another according to your measurements, it is important that you keep the most relevant measurements. For example, the measurement of the hip is the most important factor in choosing the size of a pair of pants.

If you have any doubt, please send us a email at info@noumoscada.com or text us or give us a call at +34 602 211 667.

How do we measure our clothes?

In the descriptions of our garments you will find the measurement of the different parts. These measurements refer to the piece itself and will be different to the measurements of your body (the measurements of the pieces will be larger than the measurements of your body and the elastic bands probably smaller).

All the measures of the pieces we take them in plane, therefore you will have to duplicate them when it is necessary. For example if the measurement of the opening of the sleeve in plane is 12, the total control of opening of the sleeve will be 24.

The measurements are approximate and may vary slightly due to the nature of the handmade clothing.

The best way that the measurements of the pieces will be useful will be comparing them with items that you already have and you like. When you measure any piece make sure you have it as flat as possible but without stretching it.
